VilniusAvia Solutions Group" arena will become the temporary home of Tel Aviv's Hapoel basketball club. On March 13, the Israeli club will play a European Cup quarter-final match in Vilnius against the winner of the round of XNUMX match between Istanbul Besiktas and Las Palmas Gran Canaria-Dreamland.
Last year's terrorist attacks by Hamas in Israel forced the country's basketball clubs to look for ways to extend the international season. "Hapoel" finished the matches of Group A of the European Cup in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
After the regular season, the Avia Solutions Group arena together with the Vilnius Wolves club, which has good relations with the Hapoel team, extended a helping hand to the Israeli club and offered to play the home games of the playoffs in Vilnius. The representatives of the "Hapoel" team were impressed by the infrastructure of the "Avia Solutions Group" arena, the technological capabilities and the offered support, so they did not hesitate long and accepted the offer.
The Hapoel club, in case of success, would plan to play the remaining playoff matches in the capital of Lithuania.

In Group A, Hapoel won 13 and lost 5 and finished in 2nd place. Hapoel basketball players have already visited the Avia Solutions Group arena once this season, when they played a European Cup Group A match against Wolves basketball players (12:89) on December 81 last year.
