One of the most beloved places for good and quality food in Druskininkai - gastropub "The House" - opens another door this week. From now on, visitors to the old town of Vilnius will also be able to appreciate it. Not only gourmets and their offspring, but also pets will be invited to enjoy the dishes created with love by a professional chef for 11 years: a separate menu has been created for four-legged friends, which will even include special ice cream for dogs and... non-alcoholic beer.
"In Druskininkai, we have repeatedly heard questions about when we will open in the capital as well, because lovers of various cuisines can find something to eat here - both those who like traditional dishes, and exotic, and western menus. We will be able to receive more than 100 visitors at a time, and from early spring to late autumn we will also open a cozy terrace on Vokiečių Street. We have set ourselves the goal of improving not only the food, but also the bar culture, so creativity is one of the highly valued qualities of our bartenders," says Linas Jablonskas, founder and chef of The House.
For dogs - not only ice cream and non-alcoholic beer
Families flock here for special separate menus for adults, kids and even dogs. During the grand opening this week, invited guests and their four-legged friends will be the first to try out all the new features. Even special ice creams have been created for the latter.
"Nowadays, people consider four-legged friends as full-fledged members of their family, we want guests who come to The House with a dog to find properly balanced food for him as well." We care about the formation of the correct human attitude towards animals, so that four-legged friends feel at home with us. We compiled the menu based on the recommendations of Všj "Strong Dogs" and dog nutrition specialists. Everything is balanced according to the animal's needs: the menu includes both special dishes and desserts," says L. Jablonskas.
The menu for dogs includes dishes such as beef tenderloin, a variety of chopped beef served with egg yolk and flavored with turmeric, and chicken fillet is also available. Guests will also find more options on the menu that are made using only the highest quality products and ingredients for their four-legged friends. Not only the aforementioned turmeric is used to flavor dishes, but also coconut, flaxseed oils, seaweed, and fish oil.
"I remember we also had visitors with a cat, for whom we specially prepared salmon tartare. Everyone highly rated it and were very satisfied", smiles L. Jablonskas.
