On August 5, for the seventh time in the old town the upcoming gourmet burger festival "Vilnius Burger Fest" will reveal the trends of one of the most dynamic Lithuanian gastronomy scenes.
This year, the festival will take place in a new place - Tymos market.
"The only one in the country. Only once a year. Exhibition-sale of the only burgers. New discoveries for all taste collectors, hardened and still soft burger lovers.
This time in a different, but also good time space. There will be no less burgers, drinks and entertainment than always," the invitation reads.
Gourmet burgers are characterized by fresh and high-quality products, more complex and longer preparation methods, combination of ingredients that demonstrate the skill of the chefs, and appetizing presentation.
The gourmet burger movement in the world appeared a couple of decades ago, when kitchen chefs saw the great possibilities of combining flavors and selecting fresh and more useful ingredients. Until then, the dish assigned to the category of fast food found its place on the menus of prestigious restaurants, and began to rapidly develop specialized restaurants. About eight years ago, the wave of gourmet burgers reached Lithuania.
About 7000 burgers are served at Vilnius Burger Fest every year. The opportunity to taste burgers specially created for this event is what attracts you to the festival. The condition of preparing at least one innovation is met by all festival participants, and this year it will be possible to choose from more than 30 different types of burgers.
