Vilniaus Geležinio vilka st. installed new medium speedometers. They are not working yet, but there will be four such meters in Vilnius. As claimed Vilnius city municipality, they should be operational already in the summer. We decided to ask Vilnius residents what they think about such innovations in Vilnius.

The majority, 37 percent. (786 votes) believes that such meters should be installed outside the city limits and does not appreciate the innovation. Another 21 percent (444 votes) believes that there is no need to limit the speed on the main streets of the city at all.

However, another group of residents believes that such meters are necessary for the city and everyone will drive in an orderly manner thanks to them. 21 percent answered yes. of the population (439 votes). Another 14 percent (293 votes) appreciates the changes very well and would like to see even more average speed meters in Vilnius.

The question appeared irrelevant in 7 percent. people (142 votes).

The MadeinVilnius.lt survey took place from Monday, April 8, to Friday, April 12. A total of 2104 readers participated in the survey.

Average speed meters will work in both directions on Geležinis Vilkas Street. Meters will also measure the average speed on the Western Ring Road from Pilaitė Avenue to Oslo Street, on Teodoros Narbutos Street from Laisvės Avenue to Sēlių Street. However, one stretch will change location every once in a while.
