In 2001, "Kiaušinis" was temporarily erected in Užupis Square, which symbolized the rebirth of Užupis. At the same time, the Angel sculpture was already being created, donations were collected to finance its production, and small copies of the sculpture were sold. "Angel" by sculptor Romos Vilčiauskas and architect Algirdas Ambras was ceremonially unveiled on April 2002, 1. "Kiaušinis" went to the St. At the intersection of Steponas, Pylimo and Raugykla streets, which was bought from the suburbs for 10 litas by the real estate company that developed the "Old Town Dominija" project at the time.

The "Kiaušinis" sculpture was sold in a semi-illegal auction in the Dominijas quarter of the old town, which was rapidly changing at that time. The same eggs were supposed to appear in all the renewed districts of the capital, but this did not become a beautiful tradition. Various organizations organize the printing of this egg. The egg weighing 300 kg was laid on the granite column in 2003. In 2007, the artist and designer Lijana Turskytė turned it into a marguti for the first time.
