In Vilnius, "Litexpo" in the palace, the annual international Vilnius book fair, which will last four days, begins on Thursday. 

Hundreds of events are planned at the fair - from meetings with authors to discussions about the most important topics of society, among them - and attention to the topic of artificial intelligence, what influence it will have on the creation of literature. Concerts are also planned at the fair. 

This year's Vilnius Book Fair addresses its visitors with the closing line of poet Henrikas Radauskas's poem "Fairytale" "I don't believe in the world, but I believe in a fairy tale".

This year's Vilnius Book Fair can be visited by a free bus, which will take passengers from the entrances to the Vilnius Cathedral Square to the fair for all four days starting at 9:XNUMX a.m. morning The fair receives the most visitors on Saturday, so those who have the opportunity are invited to come on other days. 

According to the organizers, new works will be presented at the fair this year or well-known creators of Lithuanian literature will visit it.

Readers will be invited to the meetings by Undinė Radzevičiūtė, Rolandas Rastauskas, Antanas Šileika, Alvydas Šlepikas, Sigitas Parulskis, Tomas Venclova, Bernardas Gailius, Tomas Dirgėla, Diana Kleponė, Herkus Kunčius, Antanas A. Jonynas, Norbert Černiauskas, Gabija Grušaitė, Mantas Adomėnas, Gina Viliūnė. , Marius Čepulis, Rimantas Kmita, Andrius Tapinas, Violeta Tapinienė, Lina Žutautė. Dalia Staponkutė, Vaiva Rykštaitė, Andrius Kleivas, Jolita Herlyn will also participate in the fair.

More than 20 authors from abroad will come to meet the readers: Inga Abele, Deborah Feldman, Graeme Macrae Burnet, Eshkol Nevo, Kristina Ohlsson, Anna Kaminska, Ilmar Taska, Laura Vinogradova, Eva Mattsson, Kateryna Michalicyna, Paolo Giordano, Nigel Warburton, Karen Swan and others.

During the event, presentations of books by Ukrainian writers will take place, poetry readings "Witnesses" will read poems by dead or warring poets in Ukrainian and Lithuanian languages.

In addition to the usual events, discussions and meetings with authors, Vilnius Book Fair visitors will also find a music hall, performances, and entertainment for children.

According to the organizers of the fair, about 300 publishing houses and other cultural organizations from Lithuania and abroad participate in the annual event, more than 500 various events and concerts take place, and more than 50 people visit the fair over four days. visitors.
