In September 2003, the Lithuanian men's basketball team won the European Championship in Sweden. In commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of this victory, on September 21, the legendary national team will return to the court for one evening and announce which basketball players we will see next week in Vilnius.Avia Solutions Groupin the arena.

Next Thursday in the biggest arena of the capital, we will see as many as 10 of the 12 basketball players who won gold on the European continent in the capital of Sweden: Arvydas Macijauskas, Ramūnas Šiškauskas, Saulias Štombergas, Mindaugas Žukauskas, Eurelijus Žukauskas, Donatas Slaninas, Virginijas Praškevičius, Dainiai Šalengas, Giedrias Gustas and Ksištofs Lavrinovičius.

Antanas Sireika will lead the team that conquered three million hearts, just like 20 years ago in Stockholm, and he will be assisted by Valdemaras Chomičius. In the exhibition match, the "Golden" national team will face the Lithuanian U20 national team, among which we will also see some famous names, which will be announced soon.

"We are glad that most of the members of the "Golden" national team, including the two coaches, will be able to participate in the event. I think this is a huge win for all of us, so I strongly invite basketball lovers to take advantage of this unique opportunity and remember the golden times in the arena", said Tomas Inčikas, head of the company "Seven Live", which organizes basketball matches.

Spectators of the match will not only enjoy basketball, but also musical and dance performances, a light show, a unique opportunity to chat with legendary basketball players, special games, prizes and many unexpected surprises. Not only that, during the event, Lithuanian Basketball Federation prizes will be awarded to people deserving of basketball.

"Even though 20 years have passed, I remember very well how many Lithuanian fans gathered for the match, we felt great unity. Sometimes it felt like we were playing at home. Even Valdas Adamkus arrived, and the whole arena chanted: "Valdai, Valdai!". Shivers ran through his body. I hope the shivers will run through my body and in September, when we celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the victory, a great evening awaits", says Kšištofs Lavrinović, a member of the "Auksinė" national team.

The profit earned from the event tickets will be donated to Lithuanian and Ukrainian support organizations, among which is the fund for supporting seriously ill children. The event is organized by Seven Live, and tickets are distributed by Bilietai.lt.
