"Verslo žinios" media company has sold the job advertisement portal "cv.lt" to "CV Keskus" of the Swiss media group "Ringier" in Estonia, "Verslo žinios" reported. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
"The decision to withdraw from e. commercial niches by selling the job advertisement portal "cv.lt" was dictated by the ambition of "Verslo žinios" to concentrate on B2B (business-to-business - BNS) media and other digital products that help Lithuanian businesses to increase their competitiveness. (…) This will allow us to focus on the international development of our products, which started this year, where we see new perspectives", said Ugnius Jankauskas, CEO of Verslo žinios, in the portal's publication.
According to Ringier AG board member Axel Konjack, with this step the company is establishing itself in the markets of the Baltic countries.
"Our goal is clear: we want to take the top position in the job posting industry," he said.
"CV Keskus" also manages the "CVMarket.lt", "CVKeskus.ee" and "CVMarket.lv" portals.
"Verslo žinios" publishes the business weekly of the same name, the magazine "Verslo Klasse", manages the portals vz.lt, manopinigai.lt, reksitai.lt, manages the digital products "Labor Law Guide" and "Bond HR Assistant".
80 percent The Swedish company Bonnier News Business owns the shares of "Verslo žinios", 20 percent. - to the editor-in-chief of the publication, Roland Barys.
Ringier, a Swiss group of media and technology companies, owns around 140 companies in 20 countries. More than 80 percent it derives its profits from digital business.
