In commemoration of the 105th Lithuanian army anniversary of the restoration, already on Saturday (November 25) a solemn parade of soldiers and military equipment will be held in Vilnius. From 12 o'clock More than 1400 Lithuanian and allied soldiers will march along the Constitution Avenue, and more than 100 units of military equipment will drive: Lithuanian army infantry fighting vehicles "Vilkas", self-propelled howitzers "PzH 2000", air defense systems "NASAMS", tanks of the United States "Abrams", infantry fighting vehicles "Bradley", tanks "Leopard" of the German army and many other military equipment. I fly over Constitution Avenue the guests and participants of the event will be greeted by aircraft of the Air Force in Lithuania NATO fighter jets performing an air policing mission.

As preparations for the event accelerate, we remind you of information about traffic restrictions.

Vehicle movement restrictions

Until Sunday at 6 a.m. In the morning, vehicle traffic is prohibited in the section of Upė Street from Saltoniškių St. until White bridge, and from last night (19:24) until Saturday XNUMX:XNUMX. traffic will also be prohibited in the remaining part of Upės Street (up to Kalvarijų Street) and G. Baravykos ​​Street.

Already this (Friday) morning, the possibility to make a left turn from Konstitucijos Avenue to Lietuvos Statutų Street has been temporarily canceled. All vehicular traffic Constitution Avenue will be prohibited from today (Friday) at 18 p.m. until Saturday midnight

For a slightly shorter time (from Friday 18 p.m. to Saturday 16 p.m.), traffic will also be prohibited on L. Kačynskis, Gegužės 3, Lietuvos Statutų streets, Lvivos street section from the roundabout at Geležinio Vilko st. to L. Kačynskios st. and in the section of Linkmenų street from Lviv st. to Constitution Ave.

Today from 18:24 to 10.30:16. and on Saturday from 25:16 a.m. to 26:6 p.m. vehicular traffic will be prohibited in the section of Kalvarijų street from Upė st. to Constitution Ave. After the restoration of traffic, from November 5 XNUMX p.m. until November XNUMX XNUMX o'clock short-term traffic stops (up to XNUMX minutes) are possible on this section of Kalvarijju Street.

Today from 21:24 to 12:15. and Saturday from XNUMX:XNUMX to XNUMX:XNUMX. vehicular traffic will be restricted on T. Narbuto st.–Konstitucijos av.–Geležinio Vilko st. at the roundabout (the so-called Pedagogical Ring):

  • it will be possible to choose only the first exit from T. Narbuto Street at the roundabout (to Geležinio Vilko St. towards Savanorių Ave.);
  • from Geležinios Vilkos St., driving from the intersection of Geležinios Vilkas and Ukmergės Streets, it will be possible to choose the first and second exits (to T. Narbutos St. and to Geležinios Vilkos St. towards Savanorių Ave.);
  • from Geležinio Vilko St., when driving from the bridge over Neri, entering the roundabout will be prohibited - traffic will only be allowed under the roundabout towards Ukmergė st.;
  • from and to Konstitucijos Ave. traffic will be closed at this time.

During the traffic restrictions, Lviv, Linkmeni, Kernavė, Giedraičiai, Kalvariji, Šeiminiškii, A. Juozapavičiaus and Žvejė streets in the direction of the affected streets will become temporary dead ends. As a result, it is recommended that drivers bypass this area through the adjacent streets - Geležinis Vilkas, Žalgiris, Rinktinės, Žygimantės and A. Goštautos.

Residents who have permits to park their cars in paid parking spaces on streets affected by traffic restrictions will be able to park them in any other parking zone during the restrictions without additional fees. Please follow the posted temporary signs carefully, as parking is prohibited on some streets until traffic restrictions are put in place.

In order to ensure the supply of goods and other cargo, during the traffic restrictions on Upės Street and Konstitucijos Avenue, the transport serving will be allowed to enter the restricted area during the following periods, if possible:

  • today until 18 p.m.;
  • from Friday midnight until Saturday 24:10.30 a.m.;
  • on Saturday from 16:XNUMX

Traffic restrictions for pedestrians and cyclists

During the military parade and its rehearsal (today 18:24-12:14 and Saturday XNUMX:XNUMX-XNUMX:XNUMX) pedestrians and cyclists will not be able to cross Konstitucijos Avenue (except for the underpass at public transport stops "Lietuvos sajūdios kelias") and sections of Kalvarijų Street from Upė st. to Constitution Ave. In order to maximally ensure undisturbed movement on these streets, pedestrian and cyclist traffic will be allowed during the indicated periods until the start of the movement of military equipment, but under the supervision of police officers.

Due to the movement of military equipment on Friday between 18 p.m. and 20 p.m. and Saturday between 10.30:12 a.m. and XNUMX o'clock for about half an hour, pedestrians and cyclists will not be able to cross Upės and G. Baravykos ​​streets. Since it is not possible to specify the exact time of movement of military equipment, we ask residents to follow the instructions of the officers and to follow them, to cross the street only after making sure that it is safe to do so.

Changes in public transport traffic

Today from 18:24 to XNUMX:XNUMX:

  • 1G, 3G, 4G, 6G, 5, 10, 27, 30, 37, 43, 46, 49, 52, 53, 56, 69, 88, 88N and 89 bus routes and 6, 10, 12 and 19 trolleybus routes will be replaced routes and traffic schedules;
  • trolleybuses of route 9 will not run;
  • 5G route buses will additionally stop at the following stops: Verkių, Valakampiau tiltas, O. Milašius, Nemenčinės plentas (in the direction of Antakalnios st.).
  • from 21:24 to 3:24 Bus routes 46G, 52, 56, XNUMX and XNUMX in the direction of Ukmergė Street will not stop at the Students' stop, but at the Saltoniškiu stop.

There will be changes on the following routes on Saturday:

  • throughout the day, buses of routes 3G, 4G, 5, 30, 43, 46, 49, 52, 56, 69, 88, 88N and 89 and trolleybuses of route 19 will run on adjusted routes according to changed traffic schedules;
  • from 12:15 to 3:24 46G, 52, 56, XNUMX, XNUMX route buses in the direction of Ukmergė street will not stop at the Students' stop, but at the Saltoniškiu stop;
  • route 9 trolleybuses will not run all day;
  • from 10.30 a.m. until 16 p.m. 5G route buses will additionally stop at the following stops: Verkių, Valakampiau tiltas, O. Milašius, Nemenčinės plentas (in the direction of Antakalnios st.);
  • from 10.30 a.m. until 16 p.m. Bus routes 1G, 6G, 10, 27, 37 and 53 and trolleybuses of routes 6, 10 and 12 will run on adjusted routes according to changed traffic schedules;
  • from November 25 16 p.m. until November 26 6 o'clock possible delays for bus routes 1G, 10, 27, 37 and 53 and trolleybus routes 6, 10 and 12.
