  1. Vilnius says:

We are waiting, we are waiting. I hope the rusty no. 6, which runs across the city, will finally change.

  2. hehe says:

Quote: "Public transport is also adapted for people with individual needs - trolleybuses are equipped with a ramp..."

What is the purpose of that ramp? After all, there was an article about how the driver did not want to let a disabled person in a wheelchair in because the ramp had to be opened. We need not only new trolleybuses, but also good driver training, because now it's a real circus.

  3. What do you think? says:

Do you think that they will use the new trolleybuses for 40 years and only then replace them?

  4. X says:

I can't help but wonder how much Vilnius is constantly lagging behind. In 2024, 30-year-old truliks will be replaced. And those truliku routes are all built by the Soviets.. The trulikus drive through the leafy trees on Kalvariju Street, Naujamiesti and the like.. Isn't that how it should be in the capital? Vilnius deserves a metro or at least a monorail high-speed tram like in Japan. This would be a slap in the face to all that terrible legacy of the Soviets, it would change the city beyond recognition. A true loving citizen of Vilnius is really happy about that. The private sector could also build a metro or the same tram, if the city doesn't have a dubious space-consuming project. The city is just resting.. And now sadness..

    • You realists says:

you witness, who will pay for that subway? at least open an economic assessment study for such a subway and see how much it would cost to maintain it and a ticket to pass. You can't find 65 cents for a trolleybus, it's 5 euros for the subway, you're a fool.

    • You realists says:

      Donkey

    • Peter 12 says:

The only terrible thing that smells like the Soviet era, which is not difficult to change, is the new red color of buses and trolleybuses.

And I don't know what kind of a loving person of Vilnius you are if you are so disgusted by those who remember the past with its historical buildings. For me, Kalvariju wooden house is almost the only somewhat more authentic and historical place apart from the old town. Even the recently reconstructed Sapiegi Palace is mostly fake.

  5. Daiva says:

so nice. We are very much looking forward to it.

    • Antanas says:

I like old people more and are more interesting. It's a pity that only historic trams are acceptable to restore like in Lisbon. For some reason, this is not done for trolleybuses.

  6. Why do you need it? says:

    Cool

  7. Reader says:

Dear author, you have been misled by a VVT driver who spread a misleading description. It's still just a body, being transported to the factory in Pilsen, where it will be fitted with equipment and then test drives. It will appear in Vilnius only after a few months.
