Exactly 30 years ago, in 1994, Lithuania was connected to the world by the Finnish airline Finnair. Lithuanian airports calls this partnership a success story, because Vilnius and Helsinki are connected by air up to 4 flights a day all year round.

Finnair is a world-renowned legacy airline that provides reliable partnerships and top-level service. Direct flights to Helsinki are an important destination for Lithuania, as the Finnish capital opens up not only all of Scandinavia, but also transatlantic routes and Asia. It is not for nothing that this company declares in its slogan that it enriches life by connecting the world. We are proud of this mature and developed partnership with the largest Finnish airline company", says Tomas Zitikis, Head of Route Development of Lithuanian Airports.

in 1923 Finnair is one of the world's oldest continuously operating airlines. Today, the company has more than 100 destinations in its route list and is actively developing new ones - from Europe to Asia and the Pacific region.

"Vilnius has been an important part of our route network for 30 years, so we are happy to be able to offer Finnair flights to our customers in Lithuania. During these years, the frequency of flights kept growing, and today the capitals of Lithuania and Finland are connected by up to 28 Finnair flights per week. It's good that the popularity of our airline's flights is growing, and Vilnius is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for Finnish and long-distance customers," says Arūnas Skuja, director of the Finnair airline for the European region.

In the new summer season, the company started flights from Helsinki to Wroclaw in Poland and Tartu in Estonia. The frequency of long-distance flights is also increasing: Finland and Japan will be connected by as many as 20 flights per week - it will be possible to fly from Helsinki to the cities of Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya. And flights from Helsinki to Dallas (Fort Worth) airport will take place 6 times a week during the summer season.

Finnair's fleet consists of 80 aircraft: 25 long-haul and 31 short-haul aircraft from the Airbus family, and together with Norra Airlines, Finnair operates regional flights with Embraer 90 and ATR 72 aircraft. . Using one of the most modern aircraft fleets in Europe, the airline reduces emissions and passengers can enjoy the highest level of travel comfort.
