Hotel "PAC" for the third year in a row at the prestigious JAV recognized as the best in the category of large international hotels in the Surface travel and design awards. Covering design, architecture, fashion, culture and travel, this magazine is considered one of the most influential trendsetters and trendsetters in these fields.
Competing in this year's awards in the large international hotel category were world-renowned architects and designers such as Zaha Hadid, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and De Salles Flint, with hotels located in Macau, Hong Kong, Warsaw, London, Shanghai, Sao Paulo and beyond.
According to the organizers of the competition, "PACAI" was evaluated for the perfect balance of historical details and modern elements and is a great example of how a hotel with a quality design guaranteeing a unique experience can become an incentive to choose an undiscovered city and country as a travel direction.
"The authentic experience and emotion created by the whole - unique design, quality service, purposefully selected smells and sounds - is what allowed us to triumph in these awards. We have proven that creative people and projects from a relatively small country are capable of competing on a global scale" - say the architects Indrė Baršauskaitė and Greta Valikonė, who designed the interior of the hotel.
Preserving authentic historical details, selecting high-quality natural materials that would allow not only to fulfill the existing design vision, but also to meet the requirements of the highest level hotels, was one of the main challenges even in the five-year period of the XNUMXth century. built in the process of reconstruction of the baroque palace of noblemen Paci.
"I am glad that it was possible to find and implement solutions that ensure the harmony of the new architecture and the historical palace ensemble that is being restored and reconstructed. The trust of the project developers in the team of architects, constructive cooperation with researchers, restorers, interior designers and other specialists was one of the essential reasons for the success of this project," says Saulius Mikštas, the architect of the hotel's reconstruction.
The hotel, which opened its doors in May of last year, has already been recognized for its exceptional design at the International Hospitality Awards. Over 300 hotels from 21 European countries competed in them this year.
"These ratings are not only great international advertising for the hotel and our country and its capital, but also a great obligation for the future. We are constantly looking for ways to surprise not only first-time visitors, but also guests who have already liked us. We are currently concentrating on the implementation of the concept of an authentic experience created through all five senses - we have renovated the spa, and at the beginning of next year, changes await in a restaurant" - reveals Rūta Pulkauninkaitė-Macikė, director of the hotel "PACAI".
