"Fashion infection" approaches at the speed of light and presents two more events, without which the festival is already unimaginable. in the Museum of Lithuanian Theatre, Music and Cinema on May 11 the annual "Fashion Infection" casting, most awaited by Vilnius beauties, will take place. May 16th the lecture for young creators will be a meaningful introduction before the climax of the festival. Speakers, designers Patricija Regesaitė and Helena Lumelsky, are already saying: ask boldly, let's share experiences in a friendly way.

"Fashion infection" is restless and continues to enter the most interesting spaces of Vilnius. The festival will take place one week before the main fashion event of the year in the Museum of Lithuanian Theatre, Music and Cinema, which stands in St. On the side of St. Catherine's Church, and after sixteen years of reconstruction, the new museum buildings are finally opening their doors to visitors. The place was not chosen by chance - to accommodate everyone who wants to step on the catwalk, or maybe just to feast their eyes.

May 11rd Courtyard of the Lithuanian Theatre, Music and Cinema Museum will turn into a giant catwalk - everyone over the age of 16 is invited to the casting. A chance for the bravest: both for aces of modeling agencies and for inexperienced street robbers. The casting of "fashion infection" has become the key to the world of fashion for more than one now famous face.

"Designers always declare that they want atypical faces and unique characters. It also happens that the original imagination is replaced by a person seen by chance. Fashion is no longer gender specific as the world is becoming more androgynous. What is perhaps ugly in life is only an advantage on the podium. Faded eyebrows, bright freckles, protruding ears, a bald or Greek nose - a personal trump card in a homogenized crowd", - invites the festival's model curator Ieva Rustekeik to the casting.

On the eve of the festival, on May 16, at the Museum of Lithuanian Theatre, Music and Cinema a lecture will be held in the new multifunctional event hall. "When you live in a country where fashion design is not included in the list of priorities of the ministries, and in the art world it is often equated with business, you need to think not only about your ego, but also about what you can leave for the future." I see the point in encouraging the younger generation, because the world does not revolve around you alone. Therefore, I am extremely happy that the two guest designers, Patricija Regesaitė and Helena Lumelsky, agreed to talk openly about their studies and work experience with the most famous fashion houses", Sandra Straukaitė invites to the lecture.

in 2017 Patricija Regesaitė became the youngest participant of "Fashion Infection" and created a conceptual collection from carpet at the age of twelve. Over the past year, she has accumulated an impressive portfolio of experience: an internship with the legendary Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen and work at the Dutch National Opera and Ballet Theatre, a collaboration with PUMA and two years of experience at the Robert Wun atelier in London. "I will tell you about my experience from the "Injection" competition, which I participated in while still studying at school. I will review the importance of the university in the fashion industry and what determined my further victories or failures in trying to gain experience in various fashion houses and corporations", Patricija Regesaitė shares the guidelines of the lecture.

Another guest lecturer - born in Crimea, studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, is now one of the most famous Latvian designers Helena Lumelsky, who has been close friends with Balenciaga's creative director Demna Gvasalia since her studies. "Work in the fashion industry or create your own brand?" Is choosing a prestigious fashion school overrated? Today's gap between fashion educational institutions and the needs of the fashion industry. Young designer's search for identity and identity. These are just some of the topics that I hope to talk about and discuss together with those gathered!", says H. Lumelsky.

After the lecture, the organizers invite you to a free tour of the Lithuanian theater, music and film museum exhibition "Wandering Stars: Jewish Theater in Lithuania 1910-1943", dedicated to commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liquidation of the Vilnius Ghetto. In the exposition, with the help of modern display methods and technologies, light, sound and video installations, the history of the Lithuanian Jewish theater, which is not known to many, is presented, the most famous Beautiful worked stars of the Jewish theater and creators of the Vilnius Ghetto Theater.
