For the second year already in Vilnius, there is no festive 3D fairy tale on the facade of the Cathedral, no illuminated bridges and no Christmas tree in the town hall square.
Even last year Vilnius city municipality said that in the absence of a 3D fairy tale and Christmas tree at the Town Hall, a considerable amount is saved.
"3D fairy tale and City Hall fir tree - 97 thousand euros and bridge lighting - about 70 thousand. euros", said the then vice-mayor of Vilnius, Edita Tamošiūnaitė.
This year, instead of a 3D fairy tale, there is an ice show at the Palace of the Lords, but it is paid for.
