"A low atmospheric pressure system named Wilhelmina is lying over the northern seas, and on the wavy atmospheric front, over Great Britain and Scandinavia, new, small cyclones Wilhelmina II and III have turned and will continue to hang Lithuania with rain clouds. To the south, almost over the whole of Europe, an anticyclone named Peter stretches. So sometimes it will reach us with its drier and calmer northeastern part. With it, slightly warmer air will flow from the south: it will be warmer at night, during the day the spring warmth will please, especially the southern and southeastern regions. Only the coast and the western outskirts will be cooler, and it will often be foggy here. Unfortunately, since Sunday, the cyclones are getting closer to the path of the Baltic and Lithuania, with stronger winds at the beginning of the week. Colder air will blow from the north. On clearer nights, a slight chill will click. Another wet snowflake will mix with the rain. According to the current data, next weekend may be cloudy and cold. Mostly sleet will mix with snow (mainly in the eastern part of Lithuania). It can be even colder at night (already with negative air temperatures not only on the surface of the soil, but also in the air), during the day it can be only a few degrees warmer. The wind from the north will be stronger. So far, this is not a very friendly weather forecast," writes forecaster Elvyra Latvėnaitė.
