With National Stadium the project will reconstruct the transport hub near PC "Acropolis". The municipality talked about the plans for this reconstruction as early as 2020 and, as they confirmed, they are not abandoning their plans.
"In the implementation of the multifunctional complex project, it is planned to reconstruct the transport hub of Ukmergė and Oz streets. At the moment, the preparation of the transportation communications project is being completed", commented Gabrielius Grubinskas, Vilnius city municipalities Media relations specialist.
Previously, the municipality announced that it was planned to install the missing cloverleaf connectors at the intersection of Ukmergė and Ozo streets. Also, during the reconstruction, the traffic light intersection of Ozo street and the connecting road with Ukmergės street, the unregulated turn from Oz to Ukmergės street, should be removed. During the reconstruction, a roundabout and an underground pedestrian crossing should be installed.
The municipality foresees that the construction works could start in 2024-2025.
