"Wizz Airquietly stopped flights to five popular European cities. Two flights were canceled from Vilnius, three more from Kaunas. As it turns out, the airline made such a decision due to engine inspections.

The company conducts scheduled engine inspections throughout Europe. As a result, Wizz Air had to cancel several routes. Among them are flights from Vilnius to Nice and Reykjavik. Changes did not bypass Kaunas either. We will no longer fly from it to Bergen, Ålesund and Stavanger.

Tickets for the mentioned directions can no longer be bought on the company's website. Although there are no more flights in these directions, the company has not yet updated the information in some places on the website.

The company itself did not publicly inform about canceled flights. Information about canceled flights was provided to passengers who had already bought tickets in the mentioned directions via SMS.

Wizz Air: This is false information

Although Wizz Air claims that the published information about the allegedly canceled flights is factually incorrect. However, Wizz Air representatives claim that these flights are only temporarily suspended. The company cannot yet answer when the flights will resume.

"Wizz Air confirms that due to the unscheduled, non-airline-related flights being organized in the coming months Pratt & Whitney engines inspections, at the beginning of the year, the company temporarily changed its flights. In order to ensure the best possible customer experience, the airline made every effort to minimize disruption to passengers and implemented the necessary schedule changes several weeks before the departure date.

Understanding the importance of clear communication, Wizz Air has ensured that all affected passengers who booked tickets directly from the airline are immediately informed by email. by mail and SMS and could choose one of three options: free flight rechecking to another flight, 120% compensation in WIZZ credit or 100% compensation in the original form of payment. Wizz Air continues to prioritize passenger comfort and transparency during this period of operational adjustment," Wizz Air said in a statement.
