It is better to ask why Lithuania does not have its own airlines. And it's no wonder that Airbaltic organizes most of it from Riga, it's their base.
And I have been to Riga even 12 times, but not because I like Riga very much, but because I had to make a layover on my way to Germany. It is very interesting where the promised direct flights to western Germany have disappeared.
