Lithuanian airports (LTOU) says that “Wizz Air" provided information about the planned technical inspections of aircraft last year, which led to reduced activity volumes. LTOU claims that flights from Vilnius to Reykjavik and from Kaunas to Bergen, Ålesund and Stavanger were suspended as a result.

Since late last year, Wizz Air has publicly provided information about planned technical inspections of its existing aircraft, which has resulted in the airline reducing operations and the number of flights across its network. From Vilnius airport the flight to Reykjavik has been suspended, and flights from Kaunas airport to Bergen, Ålesund and Stavanger have been suspended," the LTOU's commentary to Elta reads.

Lithuanian airports also noted that the information about flights to Nice that appeared is wrong, because the flight from Kaunas to this city did not exist, and it was stopped from Vilnius back in the fall.

"We draw your attention to the fact that the flight from Kaunas to Nice indicated in the source did not exist, this is false information, and the flight from Vilnius Airport to Nice was stopped earlier, back in the fall," LTOU says.

"It is important for travelers to know that flights from Vilnius to Reykjavík will be operated by the Icelandic airline "PLAY airlines" from May, and that Nice can be reached from Vilnius by the airline "airBaltic"by direct flights", the comment notes.
