VILNIETIS: I don't want to complain or complain about anything, I just want to inquire about the current order in the city.

So, my brief introductory backstory before I ask the question. You often have to go through the Zoo. There is a large meadow near the bridge leading to Vingis Park, which has become a center of attraction for townspeople who want to rest.

As the weather warms up, people sunbathing in the meadow during the day keep catching my eye. One by one, in companies. Both older men and women and young people enjoy sunbathing.

I find that nudity a bit awkward in a prestigious area of the city. Especially since young people and children often like to organize picnics there - kindergarten groups and schoolchildren often come.

I didn't see a beach sign at that place, nor did that meadow look like a beach. Going to the sea or to some beach in Valakampii, vacationers lying down in bathing suits would not surprise anyone. And here in the very center of the city, it's somehow unusual for the eye, maybe uncomfortable for some.

That is why I wanted to ask if it is possible to sunbathe in peace, where did you come up with it? Can't anyone punish or at least forbid the fact that townspeople are half-naked sunbathing in meadows and parks? At the end of the day, that's what people get naked for White bridge, although there is no sign of a beach there either?

Vilnius city municipalities Gabrielius Grubinskas, media relations specialist of the marketing and communication department, emphasized that there are no laws or other legal acts prohibiting sunbathing in public places.

"Complete nudity is prohibited in public places - a fine of up to 240 euros can be imposed for this."

There is also no sign indicating the place to sunbathe or prohibiting it. The signs marking the beaches indicate bathing places where it is safe to do so", pointed out the representative of the Vilnius municipality.
