Almost thirty years later, the Haute Couture fashion show of Juoz Statkevičius on November 20. returns to LITEXPO palace The team creating the show promises the most sophisticated technical solutions, the goal of which is to bring the viewer closer to the fashion creations.

According to fashion designer Juoz Statkevičius, one of the reasons why the fashion show returned to Litexpo this year, where his collection was shown in 1991, is that in the relatively recently renovated main halls, it is possible to implement ideas that could not be revealed elsewhere.

The scenographer of the show, Elvita Brazdylytė, is happy that "the scale of the show space is beastly". According to her, here it was possible to design a podium that would not fit in any Vilnius arena. This year, the fashion collection of Juoz Statkevičius will be presented on the longest, even 150-meter catwalk.

"The essence of scenography is to bring people closer, we wanted them to be inseparable from the action and it succeeded. The furthest people sitting will be 5 meters away from the podium, this has never happened in a show of a similar scale," says E. Brazdylytė.

Lighting artist Tadas Valeika admits that he does not want to surprise with the amount of spotlights or tons of hardware. "This is the most technically challenging fashion event, but we are not aiming for the impression of fireworks. The quality of lighting is achieved when a compromise can be found between the needs of the audience, photographers and Juoz himself. This requires subtly projecting different color temperatures in different directions and combining many details, the whole of which helps to create a 3D impression and a sense of luxury," he says.

T. Valeika calculates that it takes three days of work for various teams of professionals to implement the technical solutions of the show, that is, to coordinate the acoustics, lighting, install structures, and scenography, which does not stop for a minute. There are 16 people working in the lighting team alone.

According to J. Statkevičius, the idea of this year's fashion show is imbued with luxurious comfort. "Women are women, they always want to remain enchanting, mysterious and always charming. It's slow fashion. Haute couture clothes are of high quality, they last a long time and have nothing to do with fast consumption. True pieces of fashion travel from generation to generation. They are passed down from grandmother to mother, and from mother to daughter. It is a new approach on the modern couture fashion road. High fashion is reborn again with all its colors, ingenuity, thinness, handwork... This is the essence of high fashion", - says J. Statkevičius about the collection.

This year, Juoz Statkevičius Haute Couture fashion show is directed by GINTARAS VARNAS, writer Kristina Sabaliauskaitė always contributes to the generation of ideas, Renata Mikailionytė leads the model show, J. Statkevičius creates stylistic solutions together with Karina Leontjeva. Notable and famous women will walk the catwalk - opera soloist Asmik Grigorian, theater and film actress and singer Severija Janušauskaitė, top models Julija Steponavičiūtė, Karolina Toleikytė, Aistė Regina Klivečkaitė, Asta Valentaitė and many others. The soundtrack is created by DJ Andrius Alien.

In total, J. Statkevičius' show is implemented by a team of more than 250 people.
