In Athens (Greece) on Saturday evening, Rūtai Meilutytė won the gold of the "World Aquatics" World Swimming Cup, and Danas Rapšys won the bronze, reports the association "LTU Aquatics".

The 26-year-old woman from Kaunas covered the distance in the women's 100 m breaststroke final in 1 minute. 6,70 sec. and surpassed the nearest rival by 0,24 seconds.

Danas Rapšys finished third in the men's 200 m individual medley event (2 min. 0,15 sec.). In the middle of the race, the Lithuanian was still first, but after the stage he fell to the sixth position.

Matthew Sates (1 min 58,86 sec) from South Africa won the gold, followed by American Kieran Smith (1 min 59,56 sec).
