Until Sunday at 15 p.m. the auction started by a liberal member of the Seimas, an Olympic champion, to support Ukrainian fighters continues. Currently, the maximum amount transferred to the support fund is 500 euros. The discus with the signatures of Virgilijus Alekna and his son, the athlete Mykolas, will be won by the person who donates the most amount to the "Maži, bet styrpūš" NGO.
According to V. Alekna, the purpose of the auction is to help one of the brigades, which is constantly supported by Lithuanians. This brigade took part in the liberation of Kyiv, Kharkiv and Sumy regions from the occupiers and in the battles in Bakhmut. "All the money collected during the auction will be used to buy drones and thermal imagers for the defenders of Ukraine, the need for which is still very high," says the MP.
V. Alekna will present a trophy disk with her and her son's signatures, the best career results, the Ukrainian flag with the signatures of the soldiers fighting on the field of March to the natural or legal person who donates the largest amount to this initiative.
