April 13 the first such clothing collection "Be your own hero" will be presented - designed to support European and world break champion Dominika Banevič - B-girl Nicka. At the presentation event, as in the collection itself, sports, street culture, in a unique and hitherto unseen combination, will intertwine with art.
Event open to anyone who wants to show their support for B-girl Nicka before she leaves for the Olympics, see exceptional contemporary art and content by Lukas Gecevičius, and listen to masterful spins by the legendary DJ Mamania. Saturday will be not only the presentation of a technologically unique limited edition clothing collection, but also a meeting with its creators.
For the first time in Lithuania, sports, art and technology will come together
The clothing line "Be your own hero" inspired by B-girl Nicka and designed to support the Lithuanian break star is a masterpiece born from combining several different areas. Sports, choreography, design, videography, digital 3D art and the latest technologies create a narrative in synergy. It centers on B-girl Nicka and the conceptual world of Aetherways.
Simply put, according to L. Gecevičius, creator of XR art and virtual reality, this is Nicka's world recreated in virtual reality, which is then transferred onto clothes.
"Thanks to art and the latest technology, we created a personal 3D avatar of Nicka, recreated her style and image, even her original dance moves. It is not only an authentic way to illustrate street culture, an expression of the harmony and possibilities of different art fields, but also in a visual sense - a fresh and innovative way to present the break champion", says L. Gecevičius.
Digitized clothes from the virtual world
The idea to create a never-before-seen clothing collection came from the desire to reveal how special and unique B-girl Nicka is, to support her in the upcoming Olympics and to combine so many different areas to create something truly unique.
"B-girl Nicka's example inspires everyone. One hundred percent dedication to your passion, determination, courage, ambition, expressive energy, brightness. These are just some of Nicka's beautiful qualities that ignited creativity. "Be your own hero" will hopefully inspire everyone to root for Nick from the bottom of their hearts. Basketball fans have a jersey they don't go to the arena without. From now on, the Lithuanian break will also have the entire collection dedicated to supporting it," says SNYKS marketing manager Viktorija Masiulionytė.
The digitized clothes are based on Nicka's own daily clothing capsule.
"The collection dedicated to Nicka will consist of clothes that B-girl Nicka wears and dances with. We have created clothes that do not restrict movement and allow you to feel free and comfortable even during active activities. There will be clothes oversized haircut - exactly the kind that Nicka likes. And thanks to Lukas's modern creativity, the clothes seem to be from another reality - the virtual world," says V. Masiulionytė.
The extremely limited edition collection will consist of short and long-sleeved t-shirts, hooded and hooded jumpers, trousers and socks.
B-girl Nicka will represent Lithuania at the Olympic Games
Last year, B-girl Nicka was recognized as Lithuanian athlete of the year and became the first dance representative to win this title.
European and world break champion D. Banevič won the right to participate in the 2024 Olympics last year in Belgium.
Break will debut as an Olympic sport for the first time at the Summer Olympic Games - 16 of the strongest break dancers on the planet will meet on the Olympic dance floor.
Five components are evaluated in break competitions: technique, arsenal of movements, originality, performance, musicality.
