Registration for the traditional has begun Vilnius University (VU) event "Student for a day". This year, VU offers unique experiences and inspiring discoveries to VU students and everyone interested in studies, and invites you to get to know more about interesting study programs and extracurricular activities.
"Student for a day" events intended for all those considering studies at VU. During the week of events, participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the study environment, the format of lectures, and meet future teachers. "Student for a Day" provides an opportunity to meet students and hear their experiences firsthand. During these events, prospective students can make sure that the chosen study program really suits them. "Student for a day" is another step that will help you make the decision easier.
At the event, participants will be able to try out a student chair and experience how studies at a higher education institution are conducted. Participants are offered to visit lectures of 15 faculties together with VU students, including Beautiful and Šiauliai. The events will be held live and remotely, and lectures will also be held in English for foreign students.
This year, VU invites students not only to get to know the study programs, teachers and try lectures, but also to find out how extracurricular activities take place. In the "Student's day for a day" series of events "After lectures", they will be able to participate in rehearsals of VU Culture Center groups, training organized by the Health and Sports Center and excursions in the Center for Scientific Communication and Information. Experts from VU's Student Services and Career Department will tell participants how to plan their time effectively and not make a mistake when choosing their studies.
In the cycle of events "First-hand", members of the VU Student Representation will reveal their experience at VU to students. In informal meetings, VU students will answer questions about studies and studentship. Students of VU Faculty of Physics will show the less familiar spaces of Saulėtekis to the participants, and Kaunas Faculty will invite to the event "BBQ + HOUSE", where participants will be able to chat in an informal environment, listen to music and have a snack together.
This year, VU ambassadors invite students from other countries to a special remote event in English, where they will present how foreign students succeed in studying in various departments of VU. It will tell about their path from admission to final exams.
The events of "Student for a Day" will take place from April 22 to 26.
