The success of the talented young people of the capital does not require a lifetime of merit. On March 11, Vilnius presented the Little Christophers to eleven children of Independence for the achievements that made the city famous.

"It is symbolic to reward the creators of the future of Vilnius on the Independence Day of Lithuania. Let the sign of Little Christopher be a promising beginning for the best achievements in the future. Continue to be leaders in your fields, don't lack drive, energy and persistently lay the foundations for your and the city's success stories", giving the message of the Little Saint. Vilnius Vice Mayor Donalda Meiželytė addressed the awards of the Sign of Christopher to the students of the capital.

Ignas Juozas Tubutis, a 100th grader from Vilnius Gabija Gymnasium, was awarded the Little Kristoforus award for popularizing his hometown with his nature photographs. The young man created the account "ignas_juozas" with almost 2023 thousand followers on the social network. In one of the biggest photo contests in Spain, the student won first place in the Young Photographers nomination, and he also won first place in the "best delta Ebre photo XNUMX" category.

Joris Mikužis, an eleventh-grader from the Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis National School of Arts, was awarded for promoting the capital's name on international stages, active concert activities. The student is a composer, he also studies the art of conducting, but he is not limited to music.

Karol Pavlovski, seventh grader of Vilnius John Paul II Progymnasium, during the seven years of studying at the music school, Karolis has won 11 first places and 5 Grand Prix awards in various international and national competitions. The most famous achievements of the school and Vilnius are "Italian Award" (Roseto Degli Abruzzi, Italy), "Naujene" (Daugpilis, Latvija) and the National Lithuanian Accordion Competition (2020 and 2022)

Justas Miliauskas, an eleventh-grader from the Vilnius Lyceum, makes the name of the city famous in the international Olympics. For two years now, he and his colleague have been leading a biology club for lyceum students and he is one of the most advanced students. The student learns chemistry and biology purposefully and independently: in addition, he worked in the chemistry laboratory of the extramural education center for Lithuanian schoolchildren, at the Vilnius Life Sciences Center Vilnius University in biology laboratories, chemistry and biology laboratories of Klaipėda University and Kaunas Fort VII, together with 1-2 year Vilnius University Chemistry and Geosciences students participate in laboratory work in faculty laboratories.

Paulius Kalinauskas, also a student of the 2023th grade of the Vilnius Lyceum, was awarded for his achievements in physics at the highest level competitions in Lithuania, Europe and the world - silver medal EuPhO2023 and bronze medals IPhOXNUMX.

Julius Kasakovskis, a twelfth grader from the Vytautas the Great Gymnasium, was awarded the Little Christopher symbol for the fact that he sets a good example for young people with his citizenship and promotes the country's name in the activities of the Riflemen's Union. Last summer, the guy made the name of the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union, Lithuania and Vilnius famous JAV by participating in the leadership and entrepreneurship camp organized by BAFF. Only 13 people from Lithuania entered this camp.

Kasparas Kvasauskas, seventh grader of Vilnius "Sietuvos" pro-gymnasium, surprises and inspires the scientific and engineering community. Kaspars shows his talent by creating and programming electronics and various prototypes. One of Kaspar's last achievements is conducting a practical lesson at the Žygimantas August school, when the students, led by the boy, created a laser sound column.

Smiltė Plytnykaitė, a student at Antakalnis Gymnasium, is the European youth swimming champion, the 2019th place winner of the World Youth Championship, Lithuanian champion and record holder. The girl has already won medals in the highest level world and European championships, makes the name of Lithuania and Vilnius famous, encourages the next generation to have their highest goals, sets an example that with desire and effort, everything is possible - in June 13, the schoolgirl improved two belonging to Rūta Meilutyte girls under XNUMX records. And, according to the swimmer, she started visiting the pool just to learn how to swim, but very quickly she tried swimming competitions of various levels and realized that she could achieve higher sports results.

Simas Polikevičius, a high school student of the Vilnius Oz Gymnasium, was awarded the Little Kristoforus award for his high excellence and sports achievements in judo. The boy became the leader of the national team and is an example for the entire gymnasium and youth sports community. Sims participates and achieves excellent results in European and World Championships, international competitions.

Danielius Vasiliauskas, pupil of the Capital Sports Center, pupil of Vilnius Fabijoniškių Gymnasium, awarded for his achievements in international sports competitions. Danielius attends athletics training and has achieved the (Master of Sports) qualification.
