Together with the awakened nature, it also becomes more beautiful Trakai. The city greeted spring by shedding its old clothes and putting on a beautiful new one.

Two city squares are beautiful - near the Trakai Art School (between Karaimų st. 8 and 10) and St. John Nepomuk's chapel pillar (between Karaimų str. 1 and 1A), their reconstruction works are continuing. Already in summer, residents and guests of the city will be able to enjoy their time in organized and adapted city spaces.

Not one, but significantly larger environmental and infrastructure improvement project is gaining momentum.

The largest and undoubtedly the most important project, which will affect not only the residents of Trakai city or district, but also the whole of Lithuania, is the adaptation of Arakalnis (called Rėkalniu) for recreation and events.

We already have a technical project, the procurement of contract works will be announced this year. The plan is to install a mass event space, renovate the main bike path and install a new path connecting the event space and the parking lot. It is planned to have 200 seats. Rest terraces, a system of nature trails, information stands, small architectural elements, signs, lighting, and landscaped gardens will be installed on the shore of Lake Akmena. This space will be used for concerts, festivals, various events, and recreation.

Another very important object of rest and recreation is the Trakai City Park on Birutė Street. The aim is to turn the park under construction near Birutė Street into a place for residents' wellness, where everyone will feel good - both the youngest and the elderly. By the way, we received very relevant comments and suggestions from residents, which we took into account when designing this attractive new recreation area. In the near future, we plan to announce the purchase of technical project preparation services.

We will also continue to invest in footpath infrastructure. In cooperation with the municipality of the Gizycko district of Poland, the installation works of the Trakai pedestrian path on the coast of Galvė and Luka lakes will be continued (the section from Karaimų St. 1 to Birutė St. 24). Procurement of contract works is currently underway. The works are planned to be finished this year.

Sections of the pedestrian path are already being prepared in Trakai, from the Karaim Bridge to Trakai Street, near the former "Nendrė" cafe, technical project of capital repair.

A designed pedestrian path between Karaimų st. 13 and Karaimų str. 17, Trakai.

It is carried out on the shore of the Totoriškii lake (the section from Vytautas st. 87 to the so-called swing of love near the buses of the station) purchase of design services.

The purchase of design services for the installation and adaptation of the western employment zone of Lake Totoriškii (Plomėnų St. 39 and Plomėnų St. 39A) to tourists is also underway. We will arrange and adapt this space so that every resident and guest of the city can enjoy quality recreation.

The city of Trakai will become much more beautiful, attractive and more suitable for harmonious movement for all residents and tourists.
