As the Christmas season approaches, in Trakai, on Karaimų street, the creation of an avenue of Christmas trees began. Educational institutions, companies, organizations, and communities of Trakai district were invited to participate in this initiative and prepare to exhibit their own star-lit Christmas trees. Today, Karaimų street was decorated with the first Christmas trees - unexpected, creative and cozy Christmas installations.

Twenty-seven institutions of the district will exhibit their Christmas trees. Among them are the educational institutions of Aukštadvaris, Lentvaris Motiejas Šimelionis, Henrik Senkevičius, Trakai Vytautas Didios, Paluknis Longinas Komolovskis, Rūdiškai and Trakai high schools, Old Trakai Kęstutis and Onuškis Donatas Malinauskas pro-gymnasium, Old Trakai Andrzej Stelmachovskis primary school, Trakai Art School, Trakai Adult Education center The creations of the little ones will delight the residents and guests of the city as well: the residents and guests of the Trakai nursery-kindergartens "Obelėlė" and "Ežerėlis", "Gandriukas" of the Aukštadvaris school-kindergarten, "Svajonėlė" and "Šilas" of the Seneių Trakai kindergarten, Lentvaris nursery-kindergartens, the children of Rūdiškii Pupils of "Pasaka" nursery-kindergarten, Trakai and Lentvaris primary schools. Also, Christmas trees will be lit on Karaimų Street by the Trakai District Physical Education and Sports Center, the Trakai District Municipal Public Library, the Trakai Disability Employment Center, the Trakai Youth Tourism and Leisure Center, the Trakai District Police Commissariat of the Vilnius County Chief Police Commissariat and UAB "Trakų paslaugos".

Passers-by near the Trakai Culture and Art Center are already surprised by a wonderful live Christmas tree. It was donated to the city by the family of doctor Ramutė Malčienė.

This Christmas tree and the Christmas tree alley on Karaimų street will light up together with the main city Christmas tree on Vytautas Didijos kranta (Karaimų st. 57A) on December 1st, as if inviting you to embark on an enchanting Christmas fairy tale. When you feel the cold of winter, warm tea and delicacies will warm you up at the fair on Karaimų Street. Artisans, entrepreneurs, farmers will present their works and products there. The skating rink, which will be open all winter at the Observation Deck in front of the Trakai Island Castle, will invite you to dive into the winter frenzy this coming weekend.

The creative workshop "Kalėdus Fabrikas" will be held at the Trakai School of Art, the little ones will be delighted by the wandering post of Santa Claus, inviting them to a different area of ​​the city every weekend. The Christmas spirit will be shared by the Trakai Culture and Art Center, offering a whole range of events, and the "Slēnis" recreation complex, which will invite you to visit Santa's residence and participate in various Christmas activities in December.
