The city of Lentvaris, which has more than ten thousand inhabitants, had enough facilities to foster cultural life. Already this Friday, the modern, reconstructed Lentvaris city library and the Lentvaris Palace of Culture, which meets the standards of modern life and human needs, are opening their doors.

The people of Lentvari lacked space the most - the existing infrastructure did not create the conditions for the provision of quality services, so the quality and form of the offered cultural services in the city of Lentvari did not correspond to the current affairs of the time and the needs of society. Therefore, due to the poor condition of the infrastructure of cultural institutions, the cultural life of Lentvaris was severely limited and the majority of the city's population simply did not participate in it.

Many residents of the city see the building at Klevų al. 20, remembers it as a cinema, the other part as a discotheque, a youth center, which was located in these premises. Later, the residents of Lentvar, who remember the building in a state of emergency, this time welcome this object as a cultural center, gathering readers of all generations, art lovers, and professional artists under one roof. Professional art events, entertaining music concerts, various educational activities, promotion of new activities (playhouse, movie screenings, clubs, etc.) are planned both in the Library and in the Palace of Culture. Better conditions will increase the motivation of amateur art groups and the number of events they organize.

Funds from the structural funds of the European Union, the state budget of the Republic of Lithuania and the budget of the municipality of Trakai district have been allocated for the implementation of the project.

The celebration of the opening of the Library and the Palace of Culture and the lighting of the Christmas tree is already this Friday, December 13, at 17 p.m. at Klevų al. 20, in Lentvari.
