The attention of foreign and Lithuanian filmmakers is turning to the old town of Vilnius this spring. Spectators will see Gediminas Ave., Iceland Ave., Vilnius Ave., Theater, University, St. Stephen's streets.
Director of the Vilnius Film Office, Jūratė Pazikaitė, notes that old town often chosen for its multi-layered nature. "Here you can find both baroque, classicism and gothic architecture, as well as socialist modernist buildings. The cinematographic streets of Vilnius take you to different periods, very often Vilnius plays the role of Scandinavian cities, but it has also become Paris, Vienna or Berlin", says J. Pazikaitė.
In 2024, Vilnius was already visited by Norwegian, German, JAV, filmmakers from France, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
In April, an advertising clip of a famous American electric car brand will be filmed in Vilnius. An international team of 100 people will work on this project, 70 team members are Lithuanians. Advertising filming works in Lithuania are carried out by the company "Radioaktive", which previously participated in the filming of music videos for "This&That", "Congstar", and "Chemical Brothers".
The Vilnius Film Office informs about filming works in the city and short-term traffic restrictions:
- From April 27 at 17 p.m. until April 28 24 hours St. Jono st. 19 parking spaces will be reserved for filming purposes.
- April 28 15 to 17 p.m. filming will take place in the part of University Street from St. Jono to S. Skapo street by prohibiting vehicle traffic (except for service vehicles) and limiting pedestrian traffic for a short time (up to 3 minutes);
- From April 28 19.30:29 p.m. until April 3.30 30:19.30 a.m. or from April 1 3.30:30 p.m. until May 3 XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. (depending on weather conditions on one of the specified days) filming will take place on St. On Ignoto Street and the part of Totorių Street from St. Ignoto streets to the building Totorių g. XNUMX, prohibiting vehicle traffic and limiting pedestrian traffic for a short time (up to XNUMX minutes)
- From April 30 7 o'clock until May 1 4 hours 14 parking spaces will be reserved on Gaon Street.
