After a fire broke out in the hangar of the Medininkai border checkpoint on Thursday night and traffic was closed in both directions, the border guards announced in the morning that they had resumed movement to Belarus.

In the afternoon, the traffic of cargo vehicles and buses to Lithuania was also resumed.

According to the general emergency center, the report about the fire in the brick building was received around 02.40:XNUMX a.m., the fire rescue forces of the Vilnius Board were sent to the scene, and the information was transferred to the Vilnius district emergency medical station.

As the Fire Protection and Rescue Department previously informed BNS, fire liquidated around 7 o'clock in the morning, the causes are being determined, there are no victims.

According to the police department, the fire started during the inspection of the Porsche Cayenne. At the beginning, the aforementioned car caught fire, and from it, the hangar and the administrative part of the building caught fire.

The loss is determined.
