The ceiling collapsed in a building in the Old Town of Vilnius, no one was injured in the incident.
As reported by the Department of Fire Protection and Rescue, on Wednesday, at 14.52:XNUMX p.m., a report was received that the alarm system was activated in the school on Šiltadaržios Street and smoke was coming out.
When the firefighters arrived, there were no signs of burning, part of the ceiling had collapsed in the corridor between the second and third floors, it had collapsed in an area of 6 square meters.
The building in which the ceiling collapsed is a brick, three-story building with an attic, a music school is located below, and an apartment is located above it.
The officers asked the resident to leave the apartment on the third floor.
The territory was fenced off, the staff of the civil safety department of the Vilnius Municipality inspected the building and allowed the residents to return and continue operating the building.
