On Friday evening, the opening ceremony of the light installation park "Lumina" took place in the VU Botanic Garden. This year, visitors are invited to discover a magical and enchanting park of light installations based on L. Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" motifs. The exhibition features original works created by Lithuanian and Polish artists. The Lumina Park in the VU Botanic Garden is already in operation for the second season.

In the cold autumn and winter season, visitors to the VU Botanic Garden will not only see the new thematic story "Alice in Wonderland", new light installations, but also a changed path in the Lumina Park in the VU Botanic Garden. Visitors to Lumina Park will experience many new experiences, discover new and perhaps unseen spaces of the garden, and see what they have already seen in a different environment.

Visitors are presented with light installations by as many as four artists: Lithuanian authors Agnė Kišonaitė's "Cheshire Cat" and Kotryna Čalkaitė's "Plantae magica" and Polish artist Jarosław Koziara's "Tulips".

"In autumn and winter, everyone wants more warmth and coziness, so this year we invite you to take a walk and get some impressions by visiting the new light and sound installation of Lumina Park, Alice's Wonderland." We are happy that visitors will see impressive light installations by Lithuanian and Polish creators. The VU Botanic Garden remains open to visitors all year round, and during the dark hours of the day - from October 20 - we will open the gates to the light installations in the "Alice in Wonderland Garden", says Audrius Skridaila, director of the VU Botanic Garden.

"We believe that the park of light installations returning to the VU Botanic Garden will once again become an attraction for the capital's residents and city guests. The first season of Lumina Park showed that we were not wrong to offer such entertainment. We are glad that Lumina Park, returning to the VU Botanic Garden this year, will once again give visitors the opportunity to spend dark autumn and winter evenings in an event full of lights, sounds and magic - a walk in the "Alice's Wonder Garden". As last year, we will present to visitors not only the thematic light installations, but also the works of artists, which will undoubtedly decorate the garden," says Jan Szagdaj, director of Lumina Park in Poland manager.

Just like last year, visitors can stop and buy snacks, hot and soft drinks while traveling along the path of the park located in the VU Botanic Garden. Lumina Park postcards are also available. The organizers of the project cooperate with the Lithuanian Red Cross and will donate part of the profit from the postcards sold to the LRK organization.
