As the 700th anniversary of Vilnius approaches, cultural and art organizations are invited to apply for funding for next year's projects. This year, the maximum funding for one project increases to 7 thousand. euros. Cultural organizations can submit applications from 2022. November 7 until 2022 December 4.
Every year, efforts are made to listen to the needs of cultural organizations and, as far as possible, take them into account, while constantly updating the regulations of the competition for projects of cultural support programs.
"This year, we provide an opportunity to submit applications more simply, and with increased maximum funding, we aim to facilitate the implementation of projects. The constantly growing number of applications only proves that the competition is relevant and meaningful for cultural organizations. As we enter the capital's jubilee year, we are waiting for projects that would emphasize the progress of Vilnius culture and reveal its potential. Applications are especially welcome for preparations for the 700th anniversary of Vilnius and the promotion of literature, after Vilnius received the status of UNESCO City of Literature.
This year, the competition for cultural sponsorship programs will be announced once. Registered non-profit legal entities can participate in the competition in Vilnius city municipality, performing cultural activities, with the exception of budgetary institutions and other institutions that are maintained or subsidized from the Municipal or state budget.
Each organization may submit a maximum of three applications, two may be submitted to the same program, and three applications may be submitted to the National Communities program. Projects cannot be divided into parts, except for the space rental program, when the same project is provided for space rental and another program.
The competition includes general and special programs. Common programs: visual, performing arts, music, film, literature and publishing, cultural and creative industries, ethnic culture and amateur art and community projects. Special programs: Vilnius 700th anniversary initiatives, organization of culture or art festivals, cultural dissemination abroad, space rental, cultural education and digital art.
