The bell tower of the Vilnius Cathedral, which has become a symbol of the city, opened its doors to visitors seven years ago, on May 14-15. suggests celebrating a birthday together! The bell tower of the cathedral is not a traditional museum, its biggest exhibit is the tower itself, the masonry of which dates back to the 45th century. After climbing the impressive wooden structures, visitors are greeted at the top by the mechanism of the city's oldest clock, which still counts the hours, and a XNUMX-meter-high view of the city panorama. in 2002 Vilnius in the cathedral square six new bells were consecrated and raised - a gift of the Archdiocese of Cologne to Vilnius Cathedral and the city. Every day, at 17 p.m., four of them ring for five minutes. It is a memorable, unforgettable time, which allows you to enjoy up close and feel the sound of the big bells with your whole body.
