Music streaming giant Spotify announced on Wednesday that it will publish music videos on its platform in "select markets", entering an area long dominated by YouTube.
"Spotify is launching a beta version of music videos today..." the Swedish company said in a statement.
For now, Spotify will publish a limited list of global artists and hits, as well as local favorites.
Initially, the music videos will only be available to paying subscribers in the UK, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, in Poland, Sweden, Brazil, Colombia, Philippines, Indonesia and Kenya.
