According to email representatives of the company SK ID Solutions, which provides identification services, this step aims to make electronic signing and authentication even more convenient. Even 75,5 percent "Smart-ID" users in Lithuania have expressed their desire to use the app on their smart watch, according to the company's latest internal data.
Residents do not need to install any additional apps to sign documents or approve transactions on their Apple Watch. When performing a transaction with Smart-ID, from now on a confirmation message automatically appears on the smart watch. It's important to make sure your phone is using the latest version of Smart-ID, paired with your Apple Watch, and both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection.
