Lithuanian startup "Traxlo", which attracted 100 thousand EUR investment from one of the world's largest accelerators, "Antler" (Sweden), opened the first micro store "Gott 2 Go" in Vilnius, which does not have a single permanent employee. This is the first store of its kind in Europe - goods are delivered by freelance temporary workers (gig workers), and there is no need for salespeople when shopping - goods are paid for using a mobile app.

The first "Gott 2 Go" store opened in Saulėtekis, near the central building of Vilnius Gediminas University of Technology (VILNIUS TECH), is a joint project of two Lithuanian and Swedish startups: the Lithuanian startup "Traxlo" became the operator of the store and manages all processes with the smart application "Tasku.app". Meanwhile, Swedish startup HonestBox has developed a system for managing purchases, payments and customer flows. The Swedish company already has 150 self-service outlets in the domestic market, which will be serviced using software developed by Lithuanians.

The founders of Traxlo, Paulius Vēželis and Almantas Zemblys, believe that in the future such remotely centrally managed stores will transform the retail sector, as happened with the arrival of Uber in the taxi service sector or Airbnb in the accommodation sector.

"Imagine small stores appearing near your home, workplace, university or sports club, where you can buy essential food products XNUMX hours a day. You just need to download the app, with which you will enter the store and pay for the selected goods yourself. Everything is convenient, safe and fast," Paulius Vēželis, CEO of "Traxlo", explains the advantages of the system.

And this is only half of the innovation. Those who live near such a store can become its temporary employees to complete just one task - to place goods on the shelves, to change or check the prices of goods, to assess the condition of specific shelves. The "Tasku.app" application allows you to monitor vacancies not only in these stores, but also in other retail outlets that will become participants in this unique employment platform.

"By participating in the Antler program of the Swedish start-up accelerator, we developed and validated a business plan that allows us to take a new look at the rather traditionally operating retail sector. The so-called gig economy is already very popular in Sweden today - there are more and more areas of the economy in which temporary employees work.

After creating a work platform specifically for the retail sector, together with the founders of HonestBox, we thought, why not open a store where you can not only shop yourself, but also earn money by doing such small jobs as maintaining shelves or delivering goods". - says the founder of the startup.

Innovations are created with VILNIUS TECH

Traxlo and HonestBox teams in this store until 2022. summers will test various innovations and after finally developing the "store without employees" solution, they will start implementing this platform in major Swedish cities. Both startups already in 2022. plans to open dozens of such stores.

"VILNIUS TECH is open to new ideas, young developers, new technological solutions. We are a center of knowledge and competences and we create opportunities for startups to develop and test technologies at our university, to use our competences and to involve university students in the creation of these innovations", says Adas Meškėnas, VILNIUS TECH Vice-Rector of Strategic Partnerships, about cooperation with startups.

According to the founders of Lithuanian satartuolis, many more improvements can be made that will open up new opportunities for both merchants and consumers. In the Gott 2 Go store without salespeople, it is already possible to monitor changes in the assortment of goods in real time, create replenishment tasks for temporary employees, control the flow of people in it, as well as monitor the payments made in real time.

In order to quickly finalize the "shop without employees" platform for the Swedish market, "Traxlo" actively sought new capital and is already concluding negotiations with new investors from Lithuania and Sweden.

"We have many ideas that we are actively testing today with VILNIUS TECH partners. Lithuania is only a test laboratory for us, the real growth of this service is planned for Sweden, where our partners are already ready for active development in the market. We will use the new investment for the integration and development of the platform in Sweden", says Traxlo CEO Paulius Vėželis.
