During the second investment round, which ended in November this year, Change Ventures, a venture capital fund operating in the Baltic States, together with the German venture capital fund Monkfish and Justus Jankauskas, the former founder of the startup, invested in Dogo.Vinted"leader. Previous Dogo investors from accelerators Leap Ventures Studio (USA) and Axel-Springer-Porsche (Germany) also participated in the second round.

This is the second major investment attracted by Dogo. in 2019 during the first investment round held, "Dogo" received 700 thousand. investments worth EUR.

Attention Apple team

The "Dogo" app, which was created in 2016 by T. Žiemys and Rasa Gentvilaitė-Žiemiene, is aimed at people who have purchased young puppies. The app works on a subscription basis and introduces people to the basics of training, helps to teach pets more than 100 tricks and tricks, communicate with other dogs, etc. 

Last year, the US technology company Apple chose Dogo among the five most noteworthy apps. Dogo works in more than 10 languages ​​and has more than 4 million users. downloads, 200.000 active monthly users and 100.000 ratings with an average rating of 4,8 out of 5.

"We believe that the strong and favorable attention Dogo has received is because we developed this product to solve a problem we faced ourselves. After adopting the puppy Otter more than ten years ago, we started looking for interesting, effective and attractive tools to help us train her. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any such tools. So, combining my experience in information technology with Rasa's experience in the veterinary field, we created Dogo. We developed the app in such a way that it does not lack game elements and the process of raising a puppy is both high-quality and fun for users," says T. Žiemys. 

Focused on dog parents

The developers of "Dogo" call their users dog parents, because the app is mainly used by such people, for whom the dog they raise becomes like their offspring. 

"Such people strive for a very close relationship with the puppy, they are highly motivated to train the dog, engage in its development. Although we have the most users in the USA, Dogo is also extremely popular in Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Russia, in Poland, In the United Kingdom. Recently, the pandemic contributed to the popularity of the app, during which puppies were added to many families, and at the same time, dog training schools were closed," says T. Žiemys. 

Currently, the "Dogo" team consists of 20 people, but after the attracted investment, it is planned to expand it. Dogo has two offices Beautiful and Berlin, as well as part of the international team working from other cities in Germany, Lithuania and Estonia.
