The United Kingdom (UK) sustainable technology company "Johnson Matthey" intends to establish a business services center in Vilnius, which should employ almost 200 employees, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency reported.Invest in Lithuania".

Johnson Matthey's global business services program manager Nick Cooper says that Vilnius was chosen because of the number of qualified employees. 

"The main criterion for choosing a new location was flexibility, an abundance of qualified talent with excellent foreign language skills. We even visited several potential locations in Europe, but it was Lithuania that stood out for its excellent supply of qualified multilingual specialists. In addition, Lithuania is famous for its attractiveness for business service centers", said N. Cooper in the report.

The company's division "Johnson Matthey Global Business Services Lithuania" was registered in August. 

In the newly established center in Vilnius, which will be headed by Marianas Andrade Gonzalez, it is planned to employ almost 200 specialists in the next three years.

They will take care of finance, information technology, human resources, supply. The company intends to employ specialists who have just graduated and provide internships.

Invest in Lithuania CEO Elijus Čivilis says that Lithuanian employees will contribute to Johnson Matthey's mission to ensure a smooth transition to zero pollution.

"Qualified and motivated Lithuanian specialists have been proving for several years that they can successfully ensure the development of business functions for such global companies as Johnson Matthey", says E. Čivilis in the agency's announcement.

Johnson Matthey is a global leader in sustainable technology, working with customers to apply scientific innovation to solutions that help create a circular economy and otherwise reduce environmental pollution.
