The "Eurovision" contest has reached the finish line - this Saturday we will find out who will represent Lithuania in the international song contest, which will be held in the Swedish city of Malmö.

The final of the competition will be broadcast from Klaipėda "Švyturios" arena. Singers Aistè and Monika Marija, folk rock group "Zhalvarinis", quartet "IL Senso" will perform in the finale., singer Silvester Belt and the bands "VB Gang", "Shower", "Pluie de Comètes", "Queen of Roses" and "The Roop".

Ten finalists and only one golden ticket

We will remind you that this time the winner of the final will be chosen a little differently. First of all, after the voting, after summing up the votes of the commission and the audience, it will become clear which three finalists will continue to fight for a ticket to the big "Eurovision". Then only the votes of the audience will decide which participant will travel to Malmö.

Which song is the most worthy to represent Lithuania in the "Eurovision" song contest?

The participants of the final will appear in the "Švyturios" arena in the following order:

  • Aisté with the song "We Will Rule The World";
  • "IL Senso" with the song "Time";
  • Monika Marija with the song "Unlove You Starting Tomorrow";
  • "Pluie de Cométes" with the song "Be Careful";
  • Queens of Roses with "Walk Through Fire";
  • "Shower" with the song "Impossible";
  • Silvester Belt with the song "Luktelk";
  • "The Roop" with "Simple Joy";
  • VB Gang with "Kaboom!!!";
  • "Brass" with the song "Gaudė vejai";

Bookmakers distinguish two favorites

Meanwhile, according to bookmakers, the best chances to win the Lithuanian Eurovision Song Contest are predicted for the singer Silvester Belt (47% probability) and the group "The Roop" (31% probability). According to their calculations, the probability of the group "VB Gang" winning the EUROVIZIJA.LT contest final is equal to 6 percent, and the chances of singer Monika Marija are equated to 4 percent. Meanwhile, the chances of other participants to win the final of the competition are even lower - from 1 to 3 percent, respectively. However, these are only predictions and only late on Saturday evening will we find out who will represent the Lithuanian tricolor and honorably represent the country in Sweden. Lithuania will appear in the first semi-final, which will take place on May 7.
