Vaidotas Valiukevičius, the vocalist of the group "The Roop", which is preparing for the final of the national Eurovision selection, shared a sensitive letter in which he responds to hurtful criticism about his body. During the performance of the group's Eurovision song "Simple Joy", the artist wears shorts. According to him, this is how the singer fights with complexes.

In a post on the Instagram social network, the group "The Roop" shared Vaidotas Valiukevieičius' address to mocking critics. Some time ago, he said that he was ashamed of his legs for a long time, so he hid them under his pants. Now V. Valiukevičius says he understands that he is sufficient - excellent as he is.

“There's a debate about shorts and my legs. How interesting. I observe and think that the profession of "body inspectors" is very widespread," Vaidotas began the post.

The singer said that he no longer pays too much attention to hurtful words.

"And what do I have to do with it?" I live on. One of my challenges was finally not to embarrass myself. Because it was only a few years ago that I dared to start wearing shorts at all. I kept getting complex. No need to," he said.

Vaidotas, who is aiming to become the winner of the national Eurovision selection for the third time, wrote that this year's song "The Roop" reflects his own mood.

"In 'Simple Joy,' I sing about feeling like I'm enough. That's how it is. Enough to be on stage, enough to be in this life, enough to accept such a body and in general to be happy that I have legs that carry me to the mountains without suffocation, that do not hurt, are flexible and nimble. I feel grateful to Life for taking such care of me", V. Vaidotas Valiukevičius wrote sensitively.

According to the singer, any discussion is fine. It is bad to listen to everyone and lose your own opinion.

"At the same time, discussions are good. Because it is much worse to be simply neutral, gray, uninteresting. Creators need to raise questions and touch on different topics, not just to please the audience. By the way, a very good saying is: "If you want to make a mistake, ask everyone's opinion," the leader of "The Roop" finished the post.
