The right to represent Ukraine at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine the duet of hip-hop artist Alyona Alyona and pop star Jerry Heil with the song "Teresa & Maria" won, Ukrinform reported on Sunday evening.
The winners of the national selection were chosen by a mixed vote (50% of the professional commission and 50% of the TV viewers' votes).
As reported, the winner was originally planned to be announced on February 3, but due to a glitch in the Diia voting platform, not everyone could cast their votes in time. Therefore, online voting was extended for one more day.
The 68th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Swedish city of Malmö. The first and second semi-finals will be held on May 7 and 9, and the grand final on May 11.
Last year, Ukraine was represented at Eurovision by the group "Tvorchi", which took sixth place.
