Forecaster Elvyra Latvėnaitė informs that the cyclone "Urs", which reached Lithuania this week, has already brought various precipitation and difficult weather conditions to the country's residents.
"The cold atmospheric front of the cyclone named Urs has hit Lithuania with all kinds of precipitation. Tomorrow, from the northwest, with drier, calmer, but still cold weather, the anticyclone named Konstantina will reach Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe and join another anticyclone named Juma," says E. Latvėnaitė.
However, Scandinavia and the Baltic countries will continue to be "attacked" by strengthening cyclones from the north at the beginning of the week. Although there will be little precipitation, according to the weather forecaster, strong westerly winds will remain.
The outlook for better weather in Lithuania is expected only in the middle of the week, when the northern cyclones will begin to weaken and retreat, and the anticyclone will finally reach our country, bringing drier and calmer weather. Nevertheless, the colder air mass will retreat from Lithuania very slowly, especially in the eastern part of the country.
"Nights will often be cold, the temperature will still drop below zero, but we will already feel a little more warmth during the days. We will only get more pleasant warmth at the end of the week," E. Latvėnaitė optimistically predicts.
