As reported by the Police Department, the previously initiated enhanced driver control will continue on Saturday and Sunday. During this period, the drivers of vehicles will be checked for sobriety and intoxication from narcotics or other psychoactive substances, at the initiative of the European road police network ROADPOL.
Officers will also continue their raids on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, during which drivers will continue to be tested for sobriety.
A little later, on June 26-28, control of dangerous and hooligan driving, maneuvering, overtaking where it is prohibited, driving through intersections, railway crossings, and obeying traffic lights will be carried out.
"The aim of all the selected preventive measures is to ensure that people under the influence of alcohol or other psychoactive substances do not participate in traffic, to prevent dangerous and hooligan driving during the long weekend, and to curb undisciplined drivers," he points out. police.
County Chief Police Commissariats will also organize additional preventive measures in the territories under their supervision, and will apply public, private or mixed patrol methods.
