In strengthening Lithuania's defense capabilities, the Defense Resources Agency under the Ministry of National Defense signed a contract with the Swedish company SAAB "Bofors Dynamics" AB for the purchase of "Carl Gustaf" M4 84mm anti-tank grenade launchers and their spare parts. The value of the contract is 14 million. euros. The armament will be delivered during 2025-2026.
The Carl Gustaf weapon system is designed to destroy armored targets and enemy manpower. The latest M4 model is shorter and lighter than previous Carl Gustav versions, making it easier and simpler to use.
Anti-tank grenade launchers "Carl-Gustaf" can be used both to support unit maneuvers and effectively destroy armored vehicles and are proven on the battlefield, where they ensure high efficiency.
