Šaltibarščiai festival returns to Vilnius: the date has been revealed

The second Šaltibarščiai festival will be. On Wednesday, February 14, "Go Vilnius" created an event on the Facebook social network, at the same time confirming that the favorite festival of the people of Vilnius will delight the people of Vilnius and the city's guests again this year.

Pink Soup Fest 2024 will be held this year on the first day of summer - June 1. At the same time, "Go Vilnius" will open the summer season of 2024 in Vilnius, which will be painted in the pink color of frost on that day.

On this day, Vilnius residents are waiting for free events and various entertainment. The agency promises to share the full program soon.

Šaltibarščiai is the most popular cold pink soup in Lithuania. This summer dish is made from beets, kefir, cucumbers, and radishes.

For the second time, the whole city will be painted in pink shades, as dozens of partners - from restaurants and bars to museums - will offer different versions of cold-brews. Last year, the visitors of the festival could taste cold-flavored coffee, beetroot-flavored desserts and ice cream, visit various thematic excursions, exhibitions and workshops.

The purpose of the event is not only to taste the cult Lithuanian soup, but also to celebrate all things pink: last year, more than 15 people came to the festival, many of them dressed in pink, themed costumes and took part in the tumbling competition and other attractions of the event.
