Vilnius-based non-domestic ventilation systems manufacturer Leovira is closing down. It has notified the Employment Service that it is laying off all 24 employees.
As its director Gediminas Zaikauskas told BNS, the company is being closed.
"The company is closing down, production is going into the red, competitors have outcompeted. Maybe someone will want to take over the name," said the company's director, who has been working for two weeks.
According to him, the last orders for customers were made a few weeks ago.
According to G. Zaikauskas, Leovira's difficulties began during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Sales stopped and there was no way to recover from Covid," G. Zaikauskas claimed.
According to Sodra data, the average salary at the company in April of this year was 2,617 thousand euros.
Leovira currently employs 27 people.
Last year, the company's revenue exceeded 2,13 million euros and was 2 percent lower than last year. In 2024, the company suffered a loss of almost 141 thousand euros - 50,4 percent less than last year.
The company also had a loss in 2022.
